iPad shows the wrong time or time zone
If your iPad's clock is off by an hour or more, or apps say you're in the wrong time zone, the iPad usually needs Location Services turned on so it can set the time zone by itself.
1. Turn on Location Services
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Privacy & Security, then Location Services.
3. Turn Location Services on (green).
2. Let the iPad set its own time zone
1. Still in Location Services, scroll all the way down and tap System Services.
2. Turn on Setting Time Zone.
3. Set the date and time automatically
1. Go back to Settings and tap General, then Date & Time.
2. Turn on Set Automatically. The Time Zone line should now show the right city.
3. Make sure you're connected to Wi-Fi, then restart the iPad if the time hasn't changed after a minute.
Contact IT: if any of these switches are greyed out, or the time is still wrong, submit a ticket. School iPads can have these settings locked, and only IT can change them.
