Printer won't print
Most printing problems are fixed with a few quick checks.
Check the printer
1. Make sure the printer is turned on and its screen doesn't show an error.
2. Check there's paper in the tray, and that the tray is pushed all the way in.
3. If it says there's a paper jam, open the door it points to and gently pull out any stuck paper. Don't force it or reach inside past the paper.
Check what you sent
1. When you print, look at the printer's name in the print window and make sure it's the printer you're standing next to.
2. If nothing comes out, cancel any stuck print jobs and print again. On a Mac: open System Settings, click Printers & Scanners, click the printer, then Printer Queue, and delete the waiting jobs.
3. Restart your computer or iPad and try once more.
Contact IT: if it still won't print, or the printer says it's low on toner or ink, submit a ticket. Say which printer (the room it's in), what happened, and add a photo of any message on the printer's screen.
