Keyboard Not Working
1. Reseat the keyboard. Take the iPad out of its keyboard case, then wipe the small metal connector dots on both the iPad and the keyboard with a dry, soft cloth. Put the iPad back in and press it firmly into place.
You should see the keyboard respond when you type in Notes or any text box.
2. Restart the iPad. Hold the top button and either volume button until the slider appears, slide to power off, then turn it back on.
3. Turn off Slow Keys. Open Settings > Accessibility > Keyboards and make sure Slow Keys is turned off. While you're there, check that Sticky Keys is off too.
When Slow Keys is on, keys only register if you hold them down, so typing can seem "broken."
4. Still not working? Submit a ticket and include your iPad's asset tag and which steps you already tried. If you have class soon, use the on-screen keyboard in the meantime.
