iPads
iPad not connecting to Wi-Fi
1. Open Settings and tap Wi-Fi
2. Turn Wi-Fi off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on
3. Look for your network name and tap it
4. Enter the password if prompted and tap Join
Contact IT if: the school network asks for a password you don't have. School Wi-Fi is set up by IT, so don't guess.
5. Wait 30 seconds for the iPad to connect. You should see a checkmark next to the network name
6. Open Canvas to test the connection
If it still doesn't work:
7. Go back to Settings > Wi-Fi and tap the network name, then tap "Forget This Network"
Only do this for a home network. Don't forget the school network: it's set up by IT, and you may not be able to rejoin it yourself. If the school network is the problem, contact IT.
8. Restart your iPad: Press and hold the top button until "Slide to Power Off" appears, then slide to turn off. Wait 30 seconds and power back on
9. Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network following steps 3-5
10. If the issue persists after restart, submit a ticket with the iPad's name and your network name
